My passion for belly dance began in 1993 in Melbourne ( a local neighbourhood house)
with my beloved first teacher Rana. Her gift to me was a strong foundation of Authentic Egyptian Beledi and a strong
introduction to the music. From this foundation, I passionately sourced and explored Beledi. My passion above all is to be
a student of beledi dance and I strive to, dance forever with my heart and soul. I am known for an expressive
and creative performance, dance skills and a true love of Authentic Egyptian Beledi dance and music.
I have been taught
by dancers such as Rana/Egypt, Samra/Egypt of Hip to Hip, Layla of Greece/Egypt, Melusina & Trisnasari of Underbelly,
Maria Sangiorgi of Isis Dance, Keti Sharif/Egypt, Rachel Brice USA, , Kelly Garland of BodyWave Belly Dance, Yasmina of Cairo/Egypt
and inspired by my idol the Egyptian Dance Legend Suheir Zaki.
“Beledi” is a belly dance art
form to behold and a discipline, a very important part of my life. I want to create awareness of “Beledi” belly
dance in its purest form and as an authentic belly dance art, I hope to give the profile and recognition we all deserve for
the hard work and skill it takes to dance this original style and be true to the art. Qualified educator and instructor, specializing
